大江南北暑氣漸起，夏晝愈長(zhǎng)，日光融融，萬(wàn)物繁茂。

夏季第一個(gè)節(jié)氣——立夏來(lái)了。

The heating wave is gradually emerging all across China.

Summer daylight is longer and longer, breeding all creatures.

Here comes the first solar term in this season:Beginning of Summer.

古人迎立夏，有“秤人”“斗蛋”的習(xí)俗。上秤稱(chēng)人，以求不被炎熱的夏季消減，告別災(zāi)病纏身；孩童們斗蛋競(jìng)技，角逐“蛋王”，祈求健康度夏,不為夏日所苦。

To welcome it, people weigh themselves to avoid losing weight in hot summer. Children join in the Egg Fight and pick out the toughest one, to pray for strength and health.

初夏時(shí)節(jié)，螻蟈齊鳴，蚯蚓并出，植物汲取陽(yáng)光雨露，茁壯生長(zhǎng)。

仿佛觸手可及的無(wú)垠碧空和云海翻騰，

時(shí)而帶著驚雷聲聲、陣雨連連，

時(shí)而伏身?yè)踝∷苹痱滉?yáng)，溫柔擁抱大地。

In early summertime, insects climb out and sing their songs. Plants thrive by absorbing sunshine and raindrops.

Endless sky and surging clouds are so close, as if they were touchable.

Sometimes they bring thunder and rain,

while sometime they gently hug the ground, blocking out the burning sunlight.
